I'm not against it, but it's ballsy thinking aircraft carrier will be relevant in the 2040s to 2070 (minimum duration of service for a ship like this). Maintaining the current carriers in 2025 is already a tough decision.
Carriers had a final showdown during the global war on terror as advanced floating bases to bomb goat fuckers with little heavy equipment but it's unclear how they would fare in 21st century warfare between non-failed states. The same budget could buy you several nuclear submarines of much more certain relevance in the future.
