We can blame supply chains, we can blame rushed production, we can praise Airbus’s effort, but the truth is Boeing’s planes just aren’t safe enough. Engineering, quality control, you name it—it all stinks. Don’t get me wrong, I still have full faith in the CEO and the team, but MASSIVE recalls and redesigns are desperately needed by Q1 2026. Otherwise, I’m not optimistic about this company’s future, or our chances in the aviation market for that matter.

Flaps were retracted, landing gear down when the plane crashed. 787 supposedly has a system to disallow/warn of such configuration. Either the pilot fucked up (likely) or then the warning system didn't work and it means grounding for all 787s globally. Latter would be catastrophic hit for Boeing. Market reaction seems to be betting on pilot failure.

Wow what a surprise, i used to work for a major airline for few years and 787's sucked especially the 787-8 with it being more delicate than any other aircraft we had in inventory. We still never had any accidents with them though so i'm betting it was Indian incompetency either on behalf of the in flight crew, ground crew, or mechanics as we saw they lost 3 state of the art Desault Rafales in just a few hours.
