my great uncle was the first white man into this area of alberta and lived/farmed with the natives for most of his life. his kids were raised as part of the tribe's child group. when the kids grew up and moved away to start careers, he donated his farm to the province, who made it into a provincial park and campground that still bears his name today. my ancestors helped peacefully tame this land and improve it for future generations. that is not at all what this wave of welfare migrants are doing. they are here long after the fact with their hands out, looking to steal the fruits of my ancestor's labour
