I’ve visited a few; NYC, LA, Chicago, Austin, etc
But what is it like actually living there? I saw lots of hipsters in every place, and im assuming the overall sentiment is left leaning, but I could be wrong

If you’re non-American but live in a major city, you can chime in too I guess

I've spent most of my life living in Las Vegas. I remember the city it used to be, and I see the city it is today.

Both are shit, metropolitan cities are gay, and way too many browns. I want to go live innawoods.

I live near phoenix. But not downtown. My few trips inna city can be summed up by rich college kids on electric scooters zooming by homeless fent zombies. But we get to carry guns so things are pretty chill.

When I was growing up, it was Sin City. Candy Land for anyone who wanted to do whatever they wanted, and for good prices too.
Now... The football stadium, a new baseball stadium, the Golden knights arena, they keep pushing on new sports teams because that's what makes the megabucks. Circus and bread is ridiculously profitable, even if it's stretches the city to its limits.

What happened was the same thing that happens to so many major cities. More and more people come in, whether it's escaping California or coming in from Mexico they come in droves. The city keeps expanding to accommodate because everyone wants money. Landowners want that real estate money, the casinos want you to gamble your paychecks, liquor stores all over the place because remember, Sin City.
Back in the '40s and '50s. I would imagine that this city had some level of morals even if it was morally ambiguous. But the degradation of the society out here that has been happening since the early 2000s is shocking.
Ultra Rich or those with Mommy and Daddy's credit card can have fun here.
Everyone else either works to supply their entertainment, or struggles to support their community and the blazing 110° f heat.

There's no fucking water to support all this and yet it goes on. Las Vegas has done an amazing job at recycling every drop of piss they can get out of you because we need every last fucking drop so we don't die of thirst.
Though I'm sure if it was profitable to let people drop like flies from dehydration, some asshole at a Fremont kiosk would sell it.

my parents scooped a real cheap house in maricopa county during the housing crash so i spent a bit of time in arizona, around phoenix. it was pretty fucking based, felt like a continuous hot summer day in alberta. the people were polite and largely kept to themselves, but were friendly when interactions were necessary. people in alberta are very similar so i felt right at home. more blacks and mexicans than i was used to but the few i interacted with were also friendly enough (in the daylight). it was spooky having to watch out for black widows and rattlesnakes and scorpions though, the threats in alberta are bear and moose so it's a totally different mindset. groceries were so much cheaper there it was comical - we overstocked one weekend on food and booze and only paid $60 US, which included an 18 pack of bud. that same 18 pack alone was nearly $30 US in canada at the time. i can't even fathom what it would have been like living in the US during the good times

Is the heat bad? Yeah. But our infrastructure is set up for it. And I’m happy the have the heat burn off the scum and give us a break from Cali fags and snowbirds from jamming up our highways for a few months.

I live in Boston and have lived here all my life. I'm as big a /pol/ack as they come and wouldn't trade city living, especially living in a major American city, for anything. Walking and biking everywhere simply feels like how humans are supposed to live. I have good relationships with my immediate neighbors and the local family-owned shops where I'm a regular greet me by name.

By far the biggest perk is access to amenities, especially entertainment. Band going on tour? You can bet they're coming here. Limited theatrical release of a movie? I can just walk to the movie theater where it's showing. Any professional game of a major sport? If I were interested, I'd go. Clubs and hobbies dedicated to adults? They are here as well. I don't need to participate in all aspects of the culture but it feels gratifying to be a part of something so influential.

Right-wingers have a massive blind spot when it comes to urbanism just as left-wingers have a similarly-sized blind spot with regards to what actually makes a city an unappealing place to live (crime, homelessness, drug abuse, "diversity", etc).

Very true. Cities are only shit because of browns and niggers, they're not inherently bad which is what most right wingers believe.

It’s more like a European city.

Isn't Boston filled to the brim with jews and didn't they require everyone who works in the city (including private workers) to take Trump's mystery swill if they wanted to continue to be employed?

Only the most retarded, head up ass people live there. The way I see them, like you're CHOOSING to live in LA. They're not rich they're plebs. Choosing to live somewhere with extreme traffic, shit job market, shitskins everywhere, crime all the time and your car basically guaranteed to get broken into. It's the dumbest decision anyone can make. I noticed a lot of the drivers aren't intentionally rude, they're just so fucking retarded they can't drive properly.

Leaving the city was the best decision of my life. I can't even begin to list the benefits, and the downsides are none except less hot prostitutes but that's just a vice that often got me in trouble.

Urbanism is definitely cool. Walking around downtown phoenix feels like another world compared to the rest of AZ. If it wasn’t for the California/scottsdale pricks and the fent zombies, it would be a very cool place to live and stroll around

The power move if you're going to live in a city of to live in the suburbs or rural spot of the Metro area where you can still get to the city in 60-90 minutes if you want to but aren't stuck there always.
For NYC it's pretty comfy, there's always something there for everyone and an absurd amount of niche things. You can get lost in subcultures and some really obscure shit and group here if you tried. I have a theory that New York City influenced Moot greatly in how he made 4chan given the nature of being able to do whatever you want without much interference.
Most people here are seldom openly political surprisingly, there's a growing hard right counter culture growing here too but much of it o don't trust, especially the (((Sovereign house))) Technocrat crowd.
There's definitely good food here, you probably won't be bored here that's for sure. There's definitely a bunch of faggots who live in the City but faggots always seem to repell niggers so I don't mind them so long as they're not being gay out in public m
