Britain will lose 17% of its millionaires by 2028 and they're all fleeing to Australia.

So they're all fleeing to a country that's less white and filled with chinese people and a decent amount of indians.

Not a great place to flee to. We're having tax reforms at the moment. Unrealized capital gains in $2-3m super funds taxed at 30%. Government also looking at taxing trusts at 30%. I believe this is on top of the distributions which are further taxed in the hands of individuals or companies. Company taxes are 30% for investments and it's difficult to remove the money for personal use unless you either start a loan agreement with interest or slowly pay it out as dividends. As for individuals the tax rate remains at 47% for every dollar you earn over 190k AU (124k USD) which is a disturbingly low threshold.

A lot of money is currently being funneled into housing as your main residence is exempt from tax when it's sold. That may also change. We have a housing crisis like you wouldn't believe at the moment.
