How is this possible? Literally 99% of people have no idea that the longest lasting Empire in human history was the Greek Christian ERE, also known as Byzantine or Nea-Roma.
Why do schools not teach this, why is there a one thousand year gap in history?
Is knowing the history of the ERE/Byzantine Empire the ultimate test of being an NPC?

>>507106166 (OP)They don't need to know
Also do they mention yos?

>>507106166 (OP)Because it's an irrelevant state who didn't even change much.
History is written by the victors and the victors were the Brits. They historically had no reason to glorify this state in this form. Modern historiography is built on the last couple centuries and the Anglophone world saw no reason for itself to talk about this state at any point throughout.
>>507106166 (OP)Byzantines were backwards degenerate subhumans so it's good that they're forgotten.
>>507108231It is a shame that so many English are historians since they're pathological liars.
>>507106166 (OP)Most Russians know about it. Though, we see ourselves are as their heir so it's an important part of our identity as nation.
