Men are attracted to the aesthetics of a person while women are attracted to the aesthetic’s a person’s lifestyle. This is why Pride and Prejudice is so popular among women by the way. They don’t even find the guy hot. What they find hot is his fixture in regency balls and upper crust society. So they try to project their this quasi-luxurious lifestyle on social media to attract men and compete with other women. Their ultimate goals in life are to be desired and have desirable lifestyles. It’s all just propaganda.

I think this phenomenon is fascinating because you can see people age which perhaps makes some of the viewers wake up and stop wasting their lives chasing pointless things. The hollowness of it all is starting to become impossible to ignore.
