What's the end goal here?

Newsom is urging Californians to keep fighting, but also implores them to remain peaceful. If we're truly under authoritarian rule, peaceful protest isnt gonna do shit. But obviously he cant advise his constituents to arm themselves. So, what are we supposed to do?

His way of diplomatic resistance isnt gonna do shit either. Trump looks at his lawsuits and laughs.

Is secession/civil war the answer? Would we even stand a chance? How would that work?

At best we get a half decent Supreme Court case clarifying when a President has the authority to deploy troops (from which branch) domestically (if it’s not clear already). Nobody outside of CA cares what’s going on over there. Optics are awful.
