The problem is that the US consumer base doesn't take good enough care of their cars, and that leads to unreliability. Similar thing applies here. Indian companies that cannot preform routine maintenance shouldn't be allowed to operate expensive and very complicated planes with hundreds of souls on board unless they can commit to training and maintaining the plane as outlined in the (probably thousands of page) maintenance and upkeep manual.
