People waste thousands of hours increasing stats on a virtual reality. Getting skills that can't be applied to the real world in any way, shape or form.

Gamers are also the biggest copers I have seen on the internet with their whole "moderation" speech. Reality tells us another story: that grown men are wasting their lives playing video games, unable to assume responsibility like a real adult would.

How can you ever be successful or happy with the life you are supposed to lead if you waste so much time on such a useless activity?

Entertainment isn't a waste of time because humans need to enjoy life.
Games can reduce the chance of dementia and Alzheimers by keeping the brain strong.
For people like you games are Bejeweled on their phone but for people like us we are playing complex games requiring intense autism or rapid reflex games requiring hand eye coordination and rapid decision making. Often needing teamwork and leadership.

If you play strategy games or even fast paced shooters, simulators you can actually learn stuff that can be applied to real life.
Out of all the things you could do to kill some time and relax I'd say video games is pretty benign.
