If I used an alien tech portal to travel to the Oligocene of Oregon? Would it change this timeline or would it just create another separate timeline? I want to create a species there from two different lineages of Whale 33 million years ago and introduce them to LTT-1445 Ad along with Squid, Krill, Fish and Plants of the Oligocene via the same portal tech and perhaps IFOs just to see how they develop 33 million years later on the same planet after I travel to the present of this alternate timeline.

Maybe I should give the Mixocetes (My name for the future descendants of these hybrid Whales) timeline travel tech so we get a new species to rival the Aliens across the Multiverse, a more enlightened Krill eating one!
