All of those were serious threats when they happened. We've been fucking with NK forever, we had a cold war with russia over it and executed the jewish spies who gave them the secrets, and the entire world except Israel sanctioned India while they suffered a famine (CIA induced) after revealing the nuke. Tens of millions died of starvation over a decade and tens of millions more would have died if Israel didn't bypass sanctions for a quick buck. This is why india worships israel btw, they think israel did it to save them not because they knew they could resell at a premium.

Because they will be used.
It is not just the middle east, most african nations would use them against a neighbor within twenty years.

Imagine if the white south african government didn't destroy their nukes and nuclear research before giving the nation to the blacks when apartheid ended. The technology would have probably been shared with other african nations and nukes used in conflict by now.

Religous nuts also can justify using them even when it requires mutual destruction. Because this world matters less and all that.

But also Israel. Israel is the most likely early target of radical muslims with nukes. It is not very large and wouldn't require very many to erase.
Some day in the future most of Israel will simply be dead. It is just a matter of when. And Israel will bomb and assassinate whoever they can to delay it as long as possible.
