By 1955 it was a coin flip if a home had a TV, by 1960 somewhere around 90% of homes had TVs. That means even the oldest boomers (1946) had a 50/50 shot of having a TV before the age 9. For those born in the 50s, they definitely don't remember a time without a television in the house.
