>Russia and China were actually competing for a large share of arms exports to the same countries
>Russia psyoped themselves and rest of the world into actually thinking that they were an actual serious military power and the 2nd most powerful military on earth
>A lot of countries actually decided to buy Russia hardware and equipment over Chinese, despite Chinese hardware being both better and cheaper, purely because "RUSSIA STONK" and the soviet legacy
>Most thirdie nations are now stuck with shitty Russian equipment that suck and can't be properly supplied, upgraded or maintained by a declining Russia that's barely handling Ukraine
>Iran is one such nation
Should have bought Chinese. Boggles the mind how people think that Russia of all nations could have kept up when warfare was increasingly about electronics and software. Yeah, the drunk soviets with their rusted tank fleets are totally better than the electronic and software capital of the world. Russia is basically dragging all their allies down with them by convincing them to buy Russian hardware instead of Chinese over the last decades.
Russia is also a victim of this, if they had gone all in on Chinese drones and other Chinese military hardware during the 2022 push to Kiev, instead of relying on their shitty domestic drones, the war would have gone very differently.
