It could have been an issue with the engine (not super likely imo, but wasn't made by Boeing), it could have been a maintenance fuck up, it could have been pilot error, or fuel contamination. There's so many things it could have been. The most likely atm though I would say is that the pilot misinput the weight. That plane was fully loaded for a ten hour flight, that's a lot of jet fuel. If the pilot put in the wrong weight and the plane configured itself for a shorter flight, then like we saw, it wouldn't have gotten nearly enough lift, and it could easily have crashed like that. Either way, this is a model that's been flying for 15 years without a fatal crash, and that specific plane was out of the factory for 11, so I highly doubt it was a Boeing fuck up.
