This has been debunked 50 times, tariffs only hurt people that don't work, ie. rich people and welfare queens

Because then the rich get pissy and you don't get reelected (at best, at worst you end up "killing yourself")

Can you not read the words? Do you think the poorest Americans are going to stop buying toilet paper because tariffs made it more expensive? There is still more austerity to force upon us, we're not at complete rice and beans level yet

You cannot receive benefits like SNAP without working, unless you're on disability or have small children. I work and receive SNAP/WIC and the rising cost for food specifically has hurt me less than other people because of that, the rising costs across the board still effect me even though I work because I still need to buy things retard. Even though there's SNAP & WIC, how much of my own cash I have to spend on groceries has gone up because what is given covers less than it used to.

How can you be so retarded as to think working people are hurt less? If I was somehow a full on bennies NEET in subsidized housing things would be a lot easier. If I made a bit more money, I'd be utterly totally fucked because I'd lose what benefits and healthcare I do have. The people earning 40k and up (but not actually rich) in this country are fucked the absolute hardest

Oy vey! That's communism goy even though in the 1950s when America was actually anti-communist corporate taxes were significantly higher than they are now.
