>>507232206This, I sympathize more with Iran, but when it comes to nukes the lawful vs chaotic axis is far more important than the good vs evil axis. Same reason India/Pakistan/NK having nukes is terrifying but nobody really cares about the US/China/Russia/etc having them despite most people viewing at least one of the latter states as evil. Evil states are usually too self-interested to trigger a MAD scenario, but chaotic states with nukes are how you get a global scale version of a "mass shooting" style event. Israel is a bully and people should start standing up to them, but the bullies aren't usually the ones who come into school one day and kill everyone. Usually it's the victims of bullying who snap and do shit like this. I will always sympathize with the victims, but victims are not in a position where they can be trusted with world-ending power. Someone who transcends victimhood commands more respect than someone who has never experienced it, but someone who still sees themselves as a victim cannot be considered responsible enough to wield power due to their compromised mental state.
