>>507249643 (OP)>Why do people not care about others in America anymore?Sexual liberalism.
The comparative nature of sexual attractiveness means you benefit from other people's misfortune. The worse off everyone else is, the more attractive you become in comparison. No other basic need works like this. If my food spoils, you don't magically because less hungry just because I am worse off. If my water is contaminated you don't magically become less thirsty just because I am worse off. Sex is the ONLY basic need where other people being worse off makes you better off, and that is why sex was taboo in every successful society for all of human history. This is why the "crabs in a bucket" mentality has proliferated since sex was liberalized. Dragging others down DOES in fact lift you up if you are competing against other people for sex because sexual success is based on comparison. It's also why leftist movements etc became dominated by selfish narcissistic virtue signalers using luxury beliefs as a form of conspicuous consumption. Sexual competition filters out anyone who refuses to adopt a selfish mindset, and the mindset necessary for sexual success rubs off onto everything else.
Food, water etc = PvE => favors cooperative behavior.
Sex = PvP => favors selfish behavior.
It's that simple. In the past we had marriage laws, taboos etc to regulate sexual competition so we could cooperate for food, water etc. Sexual liberalism effectively enabled PvP, so now we must compete for food water etc even when we have more than enough, because denying it to others makes them less attractive and thus increases our own sexual success. People in the past weren't dumb. All of these same social forces existed back then and they had far fewer distractions getting in the way of solving these timeless problems.
