Can we make it illegal to buy a second,+ home and keep it empty?
Everywhere is luxury apartments that are treated by the rich like NFTs to park money
They don't even live there
And we normal people can't afford a showbox to live in

They already make it crazy expensive to do this over here. Property taxes on 2nd homes make them out of reach for most people. Cities like Vancouver are trying to go even higher on this sort of taxation. It won't stop them though, because the rich will just form shell corporations to dodge the taxes.

We can make $0 Tax on Primary Residences.
That's the best thing for everybody.
This way if this is your house or an apartment , you mark it as your primary residence. Adn then there's $0 Real estate / property tax.

>this way it cannot be confiscated from you by rich or state when you forgot to pay your tax
>or when you lost a job

What this will do is this will increase taxes on other properties which aren't primary residence.
This will force some boomers who sit on 3-5-10 properties to sell some.

It should be illegal to own more than one home + one vacation home. Corporations should not be able to own any homes unless it's only to rent to their employees or in temporary holding to sell and needs to be sold in under 6 months

This is practically a non-issue, at least in Germany
We don't have "investment" grade properties. Most cities have a vacancy rate of 2% or less
