Regardless North Korea having a nuke doesn't make me feel threatened, nor does Iran having a nuke makes me feel threatened.

The best explanation as to why Iran shouldn't get a nuclear weapon that I can think of is because it would feel emboldened to conquer its neighbors, expel the US from the region and control the flow of energy out of the middle east, and that would affect our economy which is already struggling due to our mounting debt. A problem all of our own making.
I'm no expert, but something like that is what I want to hear. I want to hear a coherent reason how a nuclear Iran would threaten our ability to fund the welfare state here at home. Something tangible that would affect all Americans.

That way.... we don't have to hide behind Israel and engender it even more animosity at home.

But that is what I want to hear.... all I hear is how the Iranians want to kill all the Israelis and how it is going to conquer its neighbors, that shit doesn't affect me man.

I love my cats., but three days ago they almost killed me and burned down my house. I stupidly left the toaster plugged in, and at 5 in the a.m. I heard some noise. I almost went back to sleep but I heard noise again and went to the kitchen only to find it on fire, luckily the toaster was next to the water faucet and I could put out the fire. On one hand they started the fire by pulling the toaster lever until the breadcrumbs caught fire, on the other hand they alarmed me when they scrammed. Initially I wanted to open the door and let them gtfo, but they’re animals. I was saved by the grace of God.
