AI will dominate a huge portion of Blue collar, so I can't recommend most of it at this point.

Just consider high liability work, or work where they can't get a robot in.

I get your point but sadly many tech companies (forgot to mention I'm a CS grad) don't see it that way. They are going absolutely apeshit abusing H1B's, offshoring and AI in their triple cocktail to layoff in masse and suppress wages to no end. In my previous job the nepotism was absolutely extreme (impossible to get promoted unless you're good ole boys with management) and sadly nepotism is rampant throughout tech.

As for the other industries, AI is threatening to take out paralegals and has already taken out freelance writing. It's progressing far faster and is aggressively wiping out the white collar sector and will claw it's way into blue collar soon with robotics.

They don't exist. "Skilled trades" are learned through apprenticeship. You learn it on the job and can make journeyman in a couple years. Almost anyone can learn them, but you won't be allowed without sponsorship from a existing union member.

If you understand these models at a low level, like can actually modify the logits and understand how to interact with them, then you're not going to be wanting for a job.
I started looking for a new job two months ago, and was interviewing with 12 teams in less than a month, it was honestly exhausting. I had 3 offers within a few weeks and ended up rejecting more teams than rejected me.

You could learn how to make and fly drones and join the Ukrainian army.

Some form of manual labour.

Affordable and versatile robotics still seem a decent way off.

Honestly man I'm not sure what to tell you. We're approaching post scarcity and until we figure UBI out there just aren't going to physically be enough jobs because problems are actually being solved. Mass migration and outsourcing makes this worse obviously. Blue collar work can be absolute shit, but cultivating those skills to maintain your own stuff (fixing your own car, own plumbing, etc.) will massively reduce your cost of living. Honestly I still thing software is a good route. Harder to get than it was a few years ago, but the pay is still good and it won't destroy your body.
