Not that strange. When you look at the math of long range missiles it's just sort of how it works.
Like Wayfair has had lots of moments when the math and knowledge of how war would look was hundreds of years ahead of reality.
See the math for accurate artillery being ahead of the communication and and material science to deliver the shells.
