because most of the frontline is highly entrenched. It makes more sense to do a slow and steady offensive around the weakest areas to minimize equipment loses.
Blitzkrieg in and of itself is retarded anyways it's why the nazis largely abandoned it after 1942, it simply causes too much damage to your units because they don't have time to recover and leaves you vulnerable to encirclements. Ukraine tries massive counteroffensives all the time and they all turn to shit cause they burn out quickly from slamming themselves into fortified positions.
Russia will only ever do a blitz if there's a fatass opening like right now in Komar. Currently the layers of fortifications are nearing their end and ukraine can't build them fast enough (or at all really, lack of workers and constant bombing) so a massive offensive will come but it'll take some time so I don't expect it all the way this summer.

Because you cant rush through fortified positions and expect to come out with enough force to continue pushing. Concentrated artillery kill zone, minefields, trenches, drones etc. No matter how much manpower Russia has, so long as Ukraine continues fortifying and has the munitions to fuck up any advance, Russia cannot win.

What's fucking up Ukraine is that the high command refuses to let their soldiers retreat from very obvious future encirclements like in Toretsk so they waste a massive amount of resources. Instead of giving up land to get into a better position they let themselves get encircled for sake of retarded counteroffensives and last stands.

Not really, it's just highly dependent on being able to knock out the enemy's ability to fight asap through maneuver warfare, which is why it worked extremely well in places like France (luck with the Allies collectively eating glue aside), and shat itself in Russia.
Theoretically it would've worked if the Russians had engaged in it at the start of the war, but unfortunately, they decided to beeline for Kiev (no I'm not going to use the "keeev" name that's fucking gay) instead of focusing on destroying the Ukrainian army's ability to fight.
