Physics-bros, I am feeling so good... What are the political implications of the STEM meme?

The competence crisis will have tech jobs opening like the ocean moses split apart.
Alpha genners can barely use an ipad and don't know how to use a file manager. Once more boomers and gen x'ers start leaving, it will shift to zoomer and millennial hands.

It's actually a better option than engineering when you factor in oversaturation.
Avg state school has a mechanical engineering program thats between 500-2000 students.
The amount of physics grads are less, with higher problem solvings skills(with less specialization). They find job opportunities as quants and engineer I type positions but often for less salary.
More versatility but a longer grind essentially.
I think engineering is fucked in this country for a multitude of reasons but the most important being a mass swarm of H1B visas coming in and working for a walmart manager's salary

STEM is over. It's saturated with too many graduates, and they have to compete with unlimited jeets and now AI.
