there's a big campaign urging people to donate fluids for a wet handshake and glass of orange juice but nobody mentions how much the red cross for example actually earns. I'm guessing they don't do it for free (unlike others). am I being jewed?

They check superficially for health and vitals and the dealio is that they give you a heads-up if they find something alarming. I'm not sure if they actually provide that service or how good their screening is. My guess is not that great.

In Murica blood donation is considered a job. So unless you have a work permit you won't be able to do that. People attend Harvard to then become a bureaucrat so that they can pass brilliant laws like that.

Giving blood is charity, you're saving a stranger from dying for nothing in return and that's honourable. Your body will regenerate the few mL of blood you gave in a matter of days if you're healthy.

Hospitals do pay Red Cross and other blood services for donated blood.
To be fair though the blood services divide and package the blood into several products (RBCs, Plasma, Platelets, Cryoprecipitate) which are all used for different clinical presentations, and they also do testing on donors and the blood itself to be able to provide rare blood types and special products. There's a lot of testing that goes into providing blood safely both on the blood center and the hospital side so charging for something that was donated is to be expected

They like blood of children and teenagers because it keeps them young facially its why they ram it down the gullible teenagers throats, the other "impure"/older blood probably goes to saving people.

The entire supply is tainted with vaxxie mudblood now. As well as the organ supply. There is no way to ensure that your pristine pureblood or unspoiled organs are going to a pureblood recipient.

Depending on where you live you will get meal tickets, tax cuts, free transport, concert tickets, etc. And even without those benefits letting blood out sometimes it's good for your organism because it puts your marrow to work to make fresh blood. Similar to how crying feels good once in a while. So even if you will be a little tired a few hours after donating, the next weeks you will feel rejuvenated.

Don't listen to /pol/ schizos sperging out about nigger blood and aids. Blood is scanned and analyzed numerous times. You have a higher chance of getting poisoned by bottled water than you'd have from donating or receiving blood.
