In this hypothetical scenario, I think I'd just find a nice creek or river to set up camp next to in a small town. Probably hang out at the library for fun, and try to find some kind of under the table work to do for when I need money.
You'd have to live outside of the system basically. I think if you get picked up by police, then they fingerprint you and can find your information that way, so I guess you would have to burn your prints off. But you know what, they're probably going to start using AI and algorithms to find out who someone is based on their facial features and stuff, so possibly in the future, if you get caught then you're basically screwed

Their tracking is almost entirely based on the fact people use systems that modern society is adjusted to. Cell phones, credit or debit cards, etc. Lose the cell phone and use cash then you basically are a ghost. I believe modern vehicles that connect to the internet probably also upload location so if you have one of those figure out how to disable or swipe a car that doesn't have tracking. If you don't want to be caught probably best to head off to the woods in the north west or cross to Canada and keep going a bit north. Winter survival will suck but maybe you can find a cabin before winter sets in and hunker down.

True. Most cities have license plate reader cameras on main roads into them. I live in a small city, 10k people, and I know of at least 10 license plate reader camera. Really easy to spot since they are attached to solar panel poles next to the road. But considering there are 20 other side roads going into the city it can be avoided. But if you are on the run no way to avoid so you are better stealing a car and swapping at minimum once a day otherwise it will be tracked.
