I personally couldn’t even bring myself to it, if I wanted. Looking at the bleak situation and the horrible legislation, the people there are facing, it would simply feel wrong. I understand, that my window into the British society is limited to, what basically amounts to the upper middle class and the ones aspiring to become upper middle class/what remains of the former middle class. They are really nice people, but a lot of them don’t have much of clue or are somehow even more naive than Germans (which does make sense genetically speaking). Sadly they usually tend to be quite old, perhaps there‘re much fewer people – in terms of the aforementioned classes, especially the former one – in the younger age cohorts. Recently some of these „close to upper class“/academic class Brits seem to have waken up from their slumber and are now trying to mount some opposition. We will see good luck to them and everyone else.
