>>507395602>I trust that he will keep his promise to the American people. He also said he was going to end the Ukraine war on his first day in office, and that he was going to cut the price of everything in half.
I was reading a thing the other day about populist politicians, and the guy was saying that they typically tell bald-faced easily refutable lies, because they are only talking to their base, and their base just wants to hear them say this shit, and they don't give a rat's ass about whether it's true.
Trump is the greatest example of that in my long lifetime. Everything is the greatest, the biggest, the best, the best ever, the greatest in history, the biggest rally, the greatest success, the worst disaster.
Hardcore Trumpers were on here the other day trying to explain how when Trump said he reduced the price of eggs 400%, that was actually true, not an outrageous horseshit lie, not a mathematical impossibility. The rest of us just failed to understand what he meant by it. And so we don't have a buffoonish mathematically illiterate liar for President, but actually a complex and subtle thinker, and we just don't understand his thought process. The fault lies with us. The whole 4D chess thing, in effect, when actually I doubt Trump ever had the patience to learn to play Go Fish.
