Many natives didn't have rigid concepts of borders, and took each others' territory by force. When europeans took land, they took land occupied at many different times by many different cultures. Those native americans had the right to defend that land, that they too seized, the same way Europeans have a right. The land wasn't seized this generation, and many generations of Euros have lived with these borders.
Ultimately, might makes right. If browns take power, whites can't stop them.
