That’s “fun”? Drinking is the only recreational activity where the desired outcome is impaired judgment and loss of motor control. And why? your baseline personality is so void you need a chemical crutch to hold a conversation.

Alcohol is just bath salts with a better marketing team. You’re just destroying your body to be altered because your life is so miserable it’s your only means to cope. Except one gets you put in a psych ward because it’s socially shunned, while the other can cause the same societal chaos but for some reason is “fine”.

Roger scruton once wrote about how wine might have helped Western Europe during the 1800s-near present commercially because business meetings that were held at night with alcohol allowed different companies to be more relaxed and let their guards down so to say to allow it easier for business to get done.

But that is the only benefit I have ever heard. Even doing it in moderation… ethanol is still a poison. A little bit of cocaine or arsenic also won’t hurt; but also why? Just enjoy life; you don’t need a depressant

It's massively overrated but a couple drinks produces a pleasant, sociable euphoria than when used in moderation is unlikely to produce any negative health effects. It's also very useful in enhancing and remedying the effects of cocaine by way of hepatic transformation to cocaethylene in vivo. BAC over .10 is cringe though.
