What's life in Iran actually like? They live quite comfortable lives. The government has been doing its thing for a very long time and people have just gotten used to it. I don't know anyone who actually supports the government, but the status quo is pretty nice for the typical iranian urbanite, so the chance of revolution is zero.

Couldn't tell you what it's like to live there, but travelling there was cool as. I went to Tehran, Isfahan and Tabriz. Not as touristy as Samarkand, Uzbekistan. People were friendly, food was pretty good. They really take good care of, and seem to be proud of, the pre-islamic ruins, and Greek/Roman stuff as well. It's hot as fuck during summer, but the buildings are designed in this weird way to cool them down without AC. They don't put a stamp in your passport if you tell them you need to travel to/through USA later. I got detained in Brisbane airport for a couple hours when I came home though lol
