50 years ago, if you were a sub 7/10 you could make up for it by having money - even today it still is somewhat possible
plus you can pay for surgery (like hair transplants, or getting your crippled bones fixed or whatever)

but if

you would end with a few 9-10/10s controlling all the women while the rest of the lineages die out
