Anyone else have a hoarding problem? I have a storage space in the basement of my apartment building and it's full to the brim. It has seriously lowered my quality of life for a long time. Wtf do I do with the stuff in the storage space? I also have some stuff in my apartment but it's a lesser problem.

My mom does, but she lived through extreme poverty during Socialism, in the rural parts which were only only neglected but were still drained by the Commies lmao.
Anyway, I think that made me into an extreme minimalist.

dude same here. I think because my parents were poor they think having a lot of stuff makes them feel rich, even if its all useless crap.

it also turned me into a minimalist dealing with all their shit. because I cant control that I can control my own shit and don't want much. also it was hell moving all my moms stuff as a kid whenever we moved. made me not want much

Just take it to the local disposal facility. Don't bring home any more shit you don't need. Problem solved.

I do, I fill every space I have with shit. I wash and keep food cans for example because I might need them to wash paint brushes. Yes I know I have a problem.

It is. Plus I have too much junk in my apartment too. Drawers full. I have been considering calling a company to come haul away all the stuff in the basement but I'm paranoid. Might be something I shouldn't throw away. Maybe passwords or other info. Maybe something worth money. There's an old computer. I think I put bitcoin passwords in a box there. That's the mean reason I don't call, maybe I find the passwords and maybe there's still some bitcoin on the account. Maybe I shouldn't care and call a company. That bitcoin was when I bought drugs many years ago kek, embarrassing, so maybe its better to not get the bitcoin if there is any. But I also don't want some random person to find it and it's a treasure to them. I'm actually currently living in a temporary apartment due to renovation. The storage junk is still in my own apartment building but everything else is in boxes here or still in the drawers. I was hoping moving here temporarily would help me get started getting rid of shit, make it easier, but it's already been months and I'm soon moving back. Fuck my life. I wish it all burned up.

I rarely buy anything though. It's just that I have a problem getting rid of stuff.

You can't dump stuff unsorted. It's a ton of work to sort it, not so much to haul it. Companies can take it unsorted and haul it for you but as I said I'm paranoid about that.

You'd have a bigger problem if you had unclean paint brushes and no cans to wash them in.
