>capitalism encourages productivity and efficiency
why is this a good thing? inefficiencies are what nourish lives and society. just look at the state of physical infrastructure. cost effective slop borne of engineering spreadsheets and ROI analyses vs. unoptimized grandiosity, soul and style. now look at work. today you slave over spreadsheets and compete with LLMs, illegals, H1Bs, and outsourced turdskins for an income that is eroded by inflation. 50 years ago you were inefficient, bogged down with paperwork and hand calculations and intra-office hardcopy memos -- but your standard of living was higher, you were more connected to the real world, and you were more valued by the system.
