The tarrifs that were supposed to bring back manufacturing are actually destroying American manufacturing. Great job magatards.

Ozark Mountain boy here. Last week I got it in my head I needed them Yeezy Season 10 Women’s Slingback Heels in Bone, size 13—don’t ask me why. Just saw ‘em on my cousin’s OnlyFans and said hell, maybe I deserve nice things too.

Found ‘em online through a Korean fashion plug. Total cost after “emergency protection tariffs” and “counterfeit mitigation surcharges”? $1,022.43.

I felt like I’d been mugged by Ronald Reagan’s ghost.

Wasn’t even mad at Kim. I was mad at myself. Sat there in my truck with the heels in my lap, starin’ at my “Trump 2024: Finish the Fight” bumper sticker and whispered:

>You were the fight.

No not that.
Totally the minerals that weren't even in cars two decades ago.

Just means America needs to reopen its mining operations, that it was retarded to close in the first place.

You're right, but manufacturing processes that uses up 5 tons of minerals instead of 3 will lead to shortages
That's easy enough to understand surely

It's just like "muh chip shortage" under Biden.
We could produce REM here.
We could reduce the use of REM in car production.
Also cars DO NOT NEED CHIPS in them either.

The suits and beancounters just want to fearmonger about shortages instead of fixing their supply chain and engineering, that way they can collectively collude to price gouge and make more profit.
If engineers were the CEOs, this wouldn't be a problem at all.

The tariffs were never actually supposed to rejuvinate America. American capitalism is too far gone at this stage. The oligarchs have spent the last 3 decades robbing everyone blind and all they're doing right now is stepping up their game.

Protectionism is something that poor countries do to develop themselves. They protect their small, burgeoning companies from international competition with tariffs to allow them to grow. American companies have no need for this. They're simply degenerate, their country is degenerate and their entire economic system is on the brink of death. They cannot compete with China. And so they demand that the government steps in and protects them with tariffs.

Did the government ensure that ordinary person doesn't get screw by these tariffs? No. Could they have? Yes. If they forced the companies to keep their prices low in exchange for not having to compete with their vastly superior Chinese rivals. But capital runs the show in America so that was never going to happen. The plundering will continue and the working man will continue to get fucked so that the shareholders of these decadent, unproductive companies can keep making turning a profit while providing nothing in return.

The chip shortage was a lie to match the supply and demand after the effect of COVID and work from home.
