Over the next eight thousand years, Robo doggos, flying murder drones, and similar, will evolve to become a large implementation of your thyroid gland in regards to the immune system your body uses to be immune to every disease and the ones you haven't seen yet.

I'm pretty sure Boston Dynamics has refused to make any WEAPONIZED versions of their products. Some are used for law enforcement and military purposes, but they do not carry any weapons on them.

Pure PR department, the probability all of this robot tech is going to be used in a military context as soon as possible is 100%, and even if it isn't, the Government can counterfeit any quantity of money it pleases for any reason or no reason, and if you don't say yes to the suitcase full of money, you will be killed and your replacement will say yes. So the argument of: "oh no military technology we're good goys" is completely nonmaterial.

Its first use is going to be weapons technology.

They don't have to weaponize anything. All you need is a cheap FPV kit, servo motor and a metal clamp to turn it into Zoomers dream.

Because that's still impracticl.
As cool as sci-fi robots look, it's just humans imagining having complete control over a living thing.
We make robots to mimic life rather than take full advantage of the unlimited mechanical form.

I just wanted to extend my former post to go into the detail as to why Boston Dynamic dog bots aren't ever going to be weaponized.

Even their robot pack mule thing is kind of a meme.

That looks great, but I feel like a heart attack thinking that thing may cost thousands of dollars only to likely get blown by a bomb or something. Hopefully they can be produced at a lower cost

That whole pic looks stupid. Boot camp trained you to break the tube of a LAW after using it, now they give them and electronic dogs to the enemy to play with?

Are you retarded? I said they are already used by law enforcement and the military, but they're not weaponized. They have sensors to detect chemicals and explosives. They have end effectors to investigate suspicious devices. They're used in many similar ways to actual dogs in that they patrol an area. They are not weaponized nor would they probably be very useful in that context.

>alternatively, require mass-producible robo-dog to fire a LAW
>robo-dog requires no training, just the right software upload and a link to command and ISR assets
>LAWs are old inventory, cheap and easy to mass-produce as well
Imagine a dozen of these ambushing a mechanized column, it'd be a massacre.

>They can't be knocked over
Has Boston dynamics released info on how much power they can store? Because if it can't beat an humans endurance to keep knocking it over, it's shit.

It's also not cost effective.

We're at the point of using the most an "AI" could accomplish with drones.
Drones swarms can basically do everything, no need to design Metal Gears or Mobile Suits. Sorry that's just cool fantasy shit that will never be practical.
