Trump has received word about his base souring bigly over Israel's out-of-control antics. He's seen the memes, he's aware of the sign tappers. He already knows the left's feelings on this matter. So it's a no brainer he'd opt to turn this down in order to appease a large swath of voters from both sides. Not to mention he's spent the last 2 years campaigning nonstop about peace, so to do anything otherwise at this point would only make him look like he isn't a man of his word.

He knows he's dirty, rotten, and corrupt and only doing this to prolong his inevitable ouster, and arrest/imprisonment by Israeli authorities once he's no longer PM.
