Almost all ethnic groups and societies have some unity, and it manifests in certain situations, example when you see something is done to people similar to you, you start to feel that same thing can happen to you and react accordingly.

But there has been this push for multicultural societies by some people, and in that model, certain ethnic groups are not allowed to have unity and trough shaping the society, media and schooling, they undermine the unity of people. Maybe only one group is allowed to have unity.
