The worst part is that once they do that to your account, it's permanently fucked and even buying Premium won't stop the slowing down. I might switch over to Premium if they laid out a proper plan for forgiveness, but without anything of the sort I shan't be giving up my daily driver account.

They have been doing this for quite some time now. If you use Firefox with uBlock, the initial video you see (along with others you might search later) get a slower loading. It doesnt happen always but they are definitely doing it from time to time.

Youtube isn't even usable without ublock origin and add-ons to fix the row counts and block shorts from ever appearing. They're slowly enshitifying youtube premium with ads too, so even retarded moralfags who by premium will need an adblocker soon.

I bet if they ever truly manage to kill all adblockers and frontends we'll enter an era of torrenting youtube videos, such is how bad the state of youtube advertising is. The ads were retarded before, but with AI ads? It's cruel not to show anyone and everyone willing to listen how to adblock. I have both ublock and adblock. Sometimes I get a pop up about not being allowed to use ad blockers but the window refreshes and it goes away.

I don't get why they try so hard. Only a small fraction of users use adblock. The vast majority of the new users are jeets who don't have the intellectual capacity to tell the difference between the video itself and the interruptions for adverts.
