300 years later, Jews see these Sacred teachings gaining steam, so they construct an ostensibly political edifice known as the Church, and use it to seek out and destroy the very Mystery Schools of which Jesus was an adept. And they got to work annihilating all of the groups practicing Jesus' true teachings. Leaving only the most mindlessly devout, spiritually devoid alive.
Mystery Schools became Secret Societies, most of which have long since been infiltrated or eradicated.
