Because teachers provably make children dumber? The net sum of all children who are not formally educated; lumping actually homschooled children together with ones who recieved no education at all, still outperforms compared to the average public school graduate in the US. The degree of schoolteacher handed out by a recognized institution of higher education, is a symbol that means you make children dumber on average for simply having spent time with you.

can confirm. my kid is homeschooled and had a full time kid job at 15. he's got an awesome full-time gig now working for a global company (he stays local for now) owned by one dude. his boss will eventually pay for extended learning like tech school if he wants to go.
right now he just works the ranch and goes to the power plant from time to time. how a 17yo gets onto any plant, let alone a power plant, is beyond me. good for him though. I hope he makes a career out of it.
