In some ways The Third Reich was peak humanity, but many pol users wouldn't fit in. You were encouraged to be strong, have a family, be a contributing member of society. They also targeted those with deformities or the mentally ill. At least this era allows depressed sub-Chad family-less NEETs to exist.

The internet pre-mobile design was great, but particularly in the early in 2000s when it was largely the wild west and you needed a but of basic technical aptitude to really use things like Napster, Limewire, IRC and other fun things. You could easily run into some seriously fucked up shit. The real reason the internet went to shit was mobile phones and normie women finally getting on it. Pre-2010 the internet was basically 90% male, women only really used it to shop online and send emails at work.

This. Girls were angelic in the 00's. Smart phones and social media changed their attitude.

I loved growing up in the 90's and 00's but probably would've hated being an adult in those times. Probably.

This is actually happening already. When they put old movies or tv series to streaming services they almost always change the music to something lame due to (((licensing))) and often cut out scenes too.
For example I noticed that in Top Gear Vietnam Special, they cut out the a tiny exchange where a vietnamese man talked about how he became deaf and his family died when American B52 bombers bombed his village
There was just the other day an article that some Don Rosa's Donald Duck cartoons won't be getting any more reprints due to "racist content" (why it was news is because donald duck is for some reason very big here, or at least used to be)

Just something I remember from top of my head, but this shit is literally happening all the time.
And in fact lot of old media is completely inaccessible to normies, luckily pirating still exists tho
It's like they're trying to erase non-pozzed content from existence so everyone would watch the newest marvel black hero white villain movie instead

Back then it was far easier to fit in if you just tried. It was far easier to get a job, start a family, and be one of the contributing masses than it is today. There were so many less artificial barriers and social horrors barring a man from a baseline level of success, only the absolute worst of the worst(out of the actual white posters on /pol/) wouldn't make it.

>Pre-2010 the internet was basically 90% male
And 90% white.

Another thing people forget is how you actually owned software in this era.
>Buy game for gameboy
>game works forever you can play it whenever you want
>install game on pc
>game launches directly from a .exe
>no launcher
>no online activation
>no live services
>no accounts needed to play the game
Connectivity and always online stuff is a trap, and now people have been conditioned to feel alone when they aren't constantly connected to the internet.

Just think about how this has affected us as a society. People don't want to watch DVDs, they want to watch netflix. People don't want to go to the movies they want to sit at home and play on their phone while watching netflix. People don't want to play offline games because the fomo is too strong and they feel like they are missing out on the new fortnite or cod season. People don't want to put on a cd, or listen to a music file because they like having spotify recommend them stuff instead. Being always connected has left people incappable of being alone with their thoughts, and thus makes them unable to think without having a divice in their hand.

You have to make it simple:
In our "times" things went like this: "yay a new cpu that makes shit run faster." "yay faster internetz".
So basically it was simply a net improvement with no downside.

Now you have: glowies, schlomos, deranged retards, 100k per year for emails and other shit on your expense, an influx of idiots etc.

modern gaming gives me such anxiety bexause of this
>boot up a cool multiplayer shooter game like helldivers 2
>really like the game but if servers are gone, game is gone
>boot up modern hitman, by all means a fully singleplayer game
>if server is gone you essentially lose now like 50% of the content because it’s all online only. offline mode is just the base story really
>boot up FOTM squad based or hero shooter game with friends
>servers dont die, the hype just goes away and is near unplayable a year later because there’s no offline content
then guys on gaming communities like /v/ wonder why so many people say old games or SP only are the best. it’s because you can reach out, get a copy through whatever means, AND THAT’S THE FUCKING GAME. not version alpha 0.5 that is the only version that supports all mods, or needs a million fan mods to work offline as it used to be, or need constant online verification when you dont even fucking interact with other humans in the game it makes no fucking sense to have this

Literally blows my mind how goyim don’t use the goyflix payment for a good vpn and invest in some 20tb spinning drives. Like pirating is fucking easy even a tard like me can do it. I have a shelf full of old handhelds and consoles I bought and repaired. They are all loaded up with every single game ever made for that device. I have a gen alpha nephew that came over to my place for a week and he was mystified by these devices. Like the concept of a device with no internet and yet it has access to thousands of games was very foreign to him. That isn't to say this changed his perspective on games(he did end up playing Rust on my PC for like a week straight), but he did occasionally pull down a GBA or a PSP and sit quietly playing an old pokemon game or something. I don't think we really understand the effect this "own nothing" concept is going to have on future generations.

I personally think having strong positive childhood memories is important to grow to be a functioning adult. I remember upgrading my PC with my dad to play the new quake game. I remember playing goldeneye on my n64 with my friends and riding my go cart around after we got bored of the 1000th deathmatch we played. For me growing up there was a clear progression of technology. Kids these days don't have those memories. They grew up playing minecraft and fortnite, and they are still playing minecraft and fortnite. Technology ceased being exciting a long time ago, with each new generation of nightmare rectangles looking and functioning just like the previous generation. There are no memories of out with the old and in with the new because everything seems to be exactly throughout their childhood. these last 10-15 years have been entirely stagnant(even regressive in a lot of ways) with technology and life in general. I can't imagine what positive memories they are going to form from playing minecraft for 15 years and covid.

From the fall of the USSR until the fall of the Twin Towers was the golden age of the Western Empire. It continued albeit to a lesser degree until the financial collapse in 2008. But for the last 17 years we’re just in a Weekend At Bernie’s situation where governments are desperately trying to pass off this rotting corpse as a stable and working system. Total collapse is coming unless radical change is implemented (it won’t be btw). It’s simply unsustainable.
