Was legalizing weed a mistake?
People that should have never been touching drugs end up willing to destroy their lives for it and society is totally cool with it.

yes. Definitely.
How it ever became mainstream opinion that it should be legal is completely beyond me. Anyone who smoked lots of pot in highschool can tell you it's a terrible idea (unless the never stopped smoking, then they probably think it's a good idea, but you shouldn't be listening to people who smoke pot after highschool anyway)

The HHS said it has medicinal benefits, which means it does NOT belong in schedule I. Even fentanyl is schedule II. The only reason it's illegal is because DEAniggers would be out of a job if they rescheduled it. Enforcement and legislation must be decouples - there's maximum conflict-of-interest

No, but it should have been legalized in third world states like Mississippi or Alabama or some shit first so Californians and other degenerates would move there. First legalizing it in based states like Colorado and Washington totally fucked everything up.

>Was legalizing weed a mistake?
fuck no
>People that should have never been touching drugs end up willing to destroy their lives for it
you have interacted with maybe 3 people who use it, and never used it yourself. a lot of very competent people use weed. we have been using weed as a species since before alcohol. it's not something that destroys lives, generally speaking. any drug has the capacity to be addictive.
>society is totally cool with it.
obviously not. most people are still not in on the whole weed thing.

anyway, know yourself and your tendencies, it's no different than alcohol when used in moderation. my genuine suggestion is to try decent hemp edibles, as they're 50 state legal, and think on it. five cbd, north canna co are both companies i use.

this is the real hypocrisy. people talk about weed users and how they shouldn't have an opinion on drugs, same should go for alcohol. people talk all the time about how perfect and nice alcohol is, and it's one of the three classes of drugs that can physically kill you from withdrawal without medical intervention. alcohol, benzos, and very heavy opiate addiction can all kill you.

absolutely, yes
it has negative effects on everybody
it makes autists schizophrenic and it makes normies autistic
maybe it was tolerable 50 years ago when it was much weaker, but modern weed is so potent, it's effectively an alternative to crack or meth depending on the strains you smoke
it's really bad

German education kek. Weed can't cause any kind of permanent effect unless you're underage and even that is heavily debated. Alcohol causes permanent damage no matter how much you drink.

oh please
the brain damage from weed is massively overstated. all studies only point to a correlation, not a cause. weed >culture is in my opinion the biggest source of damage. if you smoke bongs and sit on a couch watching cartoons eating slop all day for decades you turn into a retard... but it's not the bongs. they're just one component. it's the lifestyle.
if you can smoke and otherwise live a normal life you'll be fine. having said that i have seen it destroy more people and turn them into 35 year old bonged out runescape players living at home than i've seen it help. but most people are retarded without drugs so who knows how low they would've ended up anyway. probably a very similar position but with a retail job.

I’d have committed suicide had I not discovered weed.

I had a suicide letter written out. Then one of my friend who noticed I was not returning phone calls came to my house and forced me to come hang out with her. We went to a trailer park to visit one of her friends and they convinced me to smoke weed. My life almost immediately changed. The depression was gone.

For my whole life I had struggled with deep depression and suicidal thoughts, one blunt later and everything changed.

There hasn't been a single weed study that has been able to correlate permanent damage to weed use, the closest they got was one, ONE study where they conflated mentally ill people using weed to treat/lessen the effects of mental issues they already had with a false claim that weed caused those issues. Of course, that study was funded by pharmaceurmtical giants who hate weed because they can't control or patent it because it will grow wild on its own.

The next closest study claimed weed can bring out latent mental illnesses you already have, but there was several flaws with it.
>small sample size
>improperly filtered people in/out who already had active mental issues
>didn't control for drug use outside of the study, they had people coming in fresh off a DMT trip babbling about trip demons and blamed it on weed
>other mind altering substances like alcohol are far more damaging to mental health, and to your physical health.

>For my whole life I had struggled with deep depression and suicidal thoughts, one blunt later and everything changed.

Same story - I started smoking more than 20 years ago (I'm old). I'm currently dependent on weed, however. It did really stop working as a depression mediator after 3-5 years of continuous smoking. But every time I quit I get back to smoking because I get too emotional and sensitive, which is probably in the core of my personality. No long term negative effects though - my mind is still sharp (working as an electronic engineer)
