It is. Heat is easily absorbed released into the atmosphere via asphalt and concrete. The weather is technically the same, it's just more heated due to the consequence of industrial societies. It has nothing to do with the planet's temperature itself changing.

Because the chinese are idiots. They build these massive cities of nothing but glass, steel and concrete. They don't put in enough trees. Just concrete for miles upon miles. Its called the heat island effect. All that concrete creates a massive heat bubble over the city, and it wont disperse. They say oh look at this glorious city we have built while their residents cook. It will only get worse
