How about both? Axis of evil and all that, we Had Iraq (taken out) Syria (liberated) Iran, North Korea (lol) Russia and finally China. we need to complete that main quest for humanity to advance to the next tier of the game. Axis of evil members act like comic villains, China preys on Russia and North Korea backstabbed China. It's comedic in a way.

Armenia isn't an ally, they voted to break with Russia and closer ties with the NATO. That's why Russia didn't care to help them.
Assad was a backstabbing gangster who gave Iranian generals' locations to Israel to have them killed, and tried to form close ties with the Same Salafist gulf states (puppets of Israel) that had initiated the Salafist invasion of Syria to begin with. And he didn't pay Russia back any of of the billions it spent in propping him up.
Russia has their hands full with Ukraine now so they can't help Iran. But they would if they could.

Armenia never recognized Karabakh as their own clay and Pashinyan is a western puppet that wants to make peace with Azerbaizhan and the west. Why should we fight for them when they don't want to themselves?
Assad's Syria was an Iranian proxy. Iran gave it up with no fight because they thought the kikes would leave them alone. Why should we fight for them when they don't want to themselves?
After the previous president of Iran tragically (((died))) the new one proclaimed that he wants normalization of relationships with the West and stopped any shipments to Russia. He thought the kikes would leave them alone.

bad strategy. Armenia asked russian troops to come into their country to help against Azerbaijan. if Russia was concerned about them joining NATO then they have the perfect pretext to launch an occupation.

it was lost as soon as it began. ofc officially they will win. after they "liberate" the provinces they set out to liberate from the beginning.
they should've never gotten trapped into a full scale war. they should've limited any operations within ukraine around donbass and securing crimea.
only good thing russia will get out of this war is experience.
if they build on all they have learned in this war, after it's over. their military will become truly one of the most dangerous in the world.

The new president isn't as powerful as Khamanei. And not a single shipment of weapons has been stopped. What hasn't been shipped is the SU-35s and AA that were already paid for. The war in Ukraine may not be a valid excuse in this case since Russia delivered SU-35s and even SU-57s to other countries.
It's not clear why Putin is still so careful not to upset Israel when it's clear the operation "Spider's Web" was jointly prepared by Israel and Ukraine.

The last 30 years have been a slow motion civil war over the remnants of the USSR. The Kremlin wasted all of that oil and gas revenue to larp on the world stage as an imperial power trying to counter balance the US like the USSR had for seemingly no logical reason beyond habit and pride, despite the Russian Federation just not being in the same weight class as the USSR of old in population or economy.

They are currently pissing away the old Soviet legacy of armaments in Ukraine and are stretched so thin they can not support their supposed allies. Russia is very blatantly in decline in germs of demographics, economics, geopolitically - but realistically we are in a period of decline for most states. The US is declining, the EU is declining, China has peaked and is looking like it will follow Japan into decades of economic stagnation and population decline, supposed rising powers like Turkey and Iran and India and Brazil and South Africa all have utterly intractable internal problems that are preventing their rise. More states than not were completely reliant on the post Cold War economic order for growth and now that its falling apart those states are shitting the bed, even the states that were wildly successful from all that international trade are suffering political dysfunction and crippling wealth inequality that only exacerbates the political instability.

this is such a retarded cope. whatever western influence armenian society had would have quickly gotten overshadowed by russian intervention on their behalf.
you act as if entire armenian population was anti russian, when the reality is far from that. even now many armenians still see russia as their only true ally.

azerbaijan on the other hand has far more cultural, economic and religious ties with turkey(nato member) than armenia could possibly have had with western countries anytime soon.

maybe russian decision makers have access to a bigger picture rest of us are missing. but from the outside looking in, it seems like they are lead by retards if not traitors. time will tell what is actually going on.

This. Russia pretty much handed the region to fucking Turkey and strengthened the overall position of the Turks in the Caucasus, which will eventually come back to bite them in the ass. Its not a matter of whether or not Turkey will make a power grab in the region, but when.

The current "Russian" leadership has this boneheaded quasi-Duginist idea lodged in their skulls that they can woo the Muslim Turkic and Caucasian peoples to their side and amalgamate them into one Eurasian "Russia". The churkoid mobsters in the Kremlin either think they can woo Azerbaijan away from Turkey or even entertain grand fantasies of wooing Turkey away from NATO. By rejecting Slavdom and embracing Eurasianism as the basis for the Russian state, the Putin regime has forgotten that the Turk is the mortal enemy of the Russian state and can never be reconciled to it.

Armenia literally gave Russia a big f-you before that. Russia raised its eyebrow and Azerbaijan said "Don't mind if i do.".

Syria they kept alive for years, but trying necromancy on dead countries is a waste of time.

Iran is more difficult, but let's be honest they share much of the blame for Assad's fall insofar as there is any, and Russia's hands are simply full. Something that Iran knew as it got involved in the mess that escalated into its current war.

The Armenians them selves did not want to fight. They left the people in nagorno to their fate. And the Ukrainian war was looming at that point. Even if Russia managed to do a completely successful invasion as in Georgia, they would have had a second front open up as soon as the Ukrainian war started, and Georgia may have even joined in the war seeing they would not be the only ones fighting. Syria, Armenia, the coup attempt in Kazakhstan and Belarus were all meant to be second fronts. But Russia wins or losses based on the result in Ukraine. Concentrating on wining all those small battles would have resulted in losing the main war.
