>>507614368>I think around forty people begin to notice many signs of aging. They begin to realize they're not young anymore. Life feels like it is coming to a close. Although you have forty or so more years left the opportunities you once had, opportunities associated with being young and there are many, begin to fade.I realize this shit at 30, which is why these women are laughable. People need to stop emphasising that 40 is middle aged, the problem with that is the word middle.
0-20 Baby, child, teenager, young adult. Time of growth and development, minimal responsabilities with lots of potential, novelty, fun, good health, etc.
20-40. Adulthood, more responsability, increase then decreased energy, body injuries more easily. Transformational period of time where you study, your career advances or changes, you live independently, etc. By the end of this period your body is in decline, your life trajectory effectively set in stone (you can change careers past here, but highly unlikely), life isn't novel and is routine, stable and mundane. Women are infertile at the end of this phase.
HALF WAY POINT REACHED
40-60. Decline speeds up, health worsens, injuries more common and recovery longer, career likely a continuation of previous phase. Novelty rarer, joy likely seeing your kids grow. Your house may be paid off, at this phase you're hoping for a decent retirement. Parents likely dead.
60-80. Decline in health terminal, cognitive issues arise, joints destroyed by arthritis and a life of labour or sitting at a desk. You may be retired at this point and either trying to tick off a list before you die/while you can, or you're retired and bored with no purpose. You will may die in an old folks home shitting in a diaper like you were a newborn.
80 is literally higher than the average American life expectancy.
Not all phases are equal.
