that quote stemmed from the asian bug mentality of "kiss up kick down" when you are weak, appear strong so bottom feeders wouldnt pile up on you and give you a much harder time to accquire power. when you are strong you arent scared of bottom feeding low lives anymore because you can squat them like bugs so you need to appear weak now so other strong people underestimate you and you can attack and absorb them when they arent prepared. that kind of thinking wont work in the west because there isnt that bughive mentality in the west
