It's complicated but basically in medicine in france you have local exams and 2 national exams in 5th and 6th year which allow you to chose your future job and city, failed that though (unlike my father, brother, uncle, grandfather)

To give context on this pathetic self pitying post, france is one of the countries with the most welfare granted, most egregiously disciplined university culture. This is especially true of med sci. OP was probably drinking every evening instead of studying. Otherwise I would probably feel bad you if it wasn't for the fact that I myself went through grueling years for a degree but had to see white trash like OP jump me in line for scholarships and student apartments while I had to struggle with working to pay tuition and travel hours to get to classes.

You need to worry less about memorizing the entire curriculum and worry more about memorizing the questions that are on the test. If this is a nationally sanctioned exam then I’m sure there are plenty of practice exams online. Do those until you know every single questions answer and then go back. At worst you’ll miss 10% that aren’t on the practice exams or are designed to trick you and you’ll pass.

You have to understand that the human brain can only retain so much information at once. You cannot fit 20 medical books inside your head. That is why you need to practice the questions, not try to cram thousands of irrelevant information. Most doctors still have to research stuff even after their residency. Your problem is that you aren’t practicing for the exam itself. Trust me, I had a perfect score on my exams last semester and I can’t remember 95% of what I was taught or read.
