This is not very impressive. Westpoint academy serves 4000 students 3 meals a day in a traditional dining hall with waiting staff. 300 Chinese soldiers can be fed with a commercial vat of rice and a meat entree. I’m sure they offer more than that, but this is just basic field ration supply stuff.

NATO MREs were made to be eaten only "Once" till you get out of battle (less than 48hours).

When they made them they didnt think that their soldiers could be stuck in a fight longer than that so they made the MREs that they would stop you from shitting keep you going until you are out.

Little did they know that soldiers would eat MREs like normal rations and eat a ration daily turning their shit into Cement.
Ideally you are supposed to take a shit before battle and eat an MRE and expect to be back at base in 2 days at most.

sadly thats no the reality and many soldiers ended up needing surgery to get that rock hard shit cut out from them.
