There are a handful of genuine interests, but none of them are significant enough to warrant entering the war. The first is that China benefits from a distracted US. The reason why it won't directly enter the war is because it doesn't need to -- surreptitious assistance to Iran will do just fine for drawing out the war. The second reason is that Iran is a major oil producer and China is a major oil importer. War in Iran is going to spike oil prices, and China still uses a lot of it. But China isn't going to enter the war on this account because the juice isn't worth the squeeze. If anything, China's actual strongest interest is in a short, painless war which allows the price of oil to fall.
